“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.”
❤️ Loving Yourself
Write down at least ten things you like about yourself — the kinds of things that come up in the Reset booklet at this step about learning to love yourself.
I tend to say, “Just ask others what they like about me.”
But what You do, Lord Jesus, is look at Your Father. And You see that He loves You deeply. That forms the solid foundation for You to love us. And between those two realities lies today’s step: loving yourself.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
How important it is for fathers and mothers to show love to their children and affirm who they are, what they’re good at, and what is delightful about them.
If you didn’t receive that affirmation, you will look for it in other ways, because every human being needs to be loved, wanted, recognized, and affirmed by their parents.
If you’ve suffered damage in this area of your life, then do what Jesus did:
Go to your heavenly Father.
From Him you will certainly hear that you are loved and wanted, and you will receive the recognition and affirmation that you are delightful.
You are a delightful person because He made you delightful.
The beginning was very good.
Sadly, much has been and is being damaged by the powers of darkness.
But even there, a way back exists, because Jesus came to restore what is broken.
You too can rediscover what you have lost.
You too are delightful.
Return to your First Love to take the first step toward loving yourself.
